Kellie Martin, an American actress and film director best known as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Kellie Martin is most well-known for her part as a protagonist of the Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin began her career in acting in the age of seven, when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children helped her land an appearance in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major part-time roles in the TV and film industries. Martin, in addition to being a skilled dancer and actress, is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Two-time mother, Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness since her sister died at just 19.
