Kellie Martin, an American film and television actress popular for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Additionally, she's known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and an elementary school teacher. Her first acting experience was in the age of seven when her aunt, the nanny of Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as an actor on the TV show Father Murphy. When she graduated of Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small and large screen. Martin was also as a dancer and photographer. Martin is also a mother of two and the face of Lupus. After her sister's tragic death at the age of 19 Martin has been working to raise awareness about the condition.
