Kellie Martin is an American actress and filmmaker most well-known for her role for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include the lead role in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was born to an employee of a department store and an elementary school teacher. Her first acting experience was as a child at the age of seven. her Aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's family, helped Martin find a role as in the television show Father Murphy. She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major parts in both the television and film industry. Martin has also been a photographer and a dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus at age 19, inspired her to become the Lupus National spokesperson.
