Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series "Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". She is also famous for her role as the main character in"The Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, the daughter of a department-store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her career as an actress at age seven. Her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids was able to help Martin to get her a character in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin took her acting career more than just a hobby. She landed significant roles on TV as well as big screens. Martin as well as being an accomplished actress and dancer, is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Martin is the mother of two and the face of Lupus. Since her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been trying to spread awareness of the disease.
